Good preparation for a lifetime habit

I like this booklet for preparing my students, (and my own children) for a lifetime habit of receiving the sacrament of reconciliation. Confession is good for the soul, someone once wrote, and I can say it sure is! This booklet gives children a clearer understand of their own faults and addresses a method for correcting those faults. Of course most seven year olds don't understand serious sin but they do know when they have mistreated a friend or parent and also know when they have been mistreated! Children need a script to follow to give them confidence and this little book does just that. It also includes a prayer section for the children to learn by heart. I have been teaching young children religious education for more than twenty years and I find this an excellent resource and addition to other textbooks.

Great little book for examination of conscious for children. Bought this for my grandchildren to prepare for confession. I think it is a great tool to prepare them for such an important sacrament as penance.

Good sexually explicit collection

Nice collection of Robert Crumb comics, much of it in color. The paper is of the absorbent variety, which works best for reproducing comic art colored in flat colors. I wouldn't have included the 40 some pages of the Championship Wrestling, which isn't as sexual as one would wish, but overall, a good selection of his work, old and new.

I was not buying the $500 plus edition, thank goodness they made a mere mortals edition. Well drawn stories, of course Crumb did so much sex stuff some of your favorites might be missing, but well worth it nonetheless.

Hot Obsession!

After reading Craving, the first book in Helen Hardt's Steel brothers trilogy, I was so ready for Obsession, and it did not disappoint! The continuing story of Talon and Jade is both beautiful and heartbreaking. Because I have endured a childhood sexual trauma, I was wary of reading about Talon's horrifying childhood physical and sexual abuse. However I found that I was pulling for Talon and hoping he would get help, because one can be healed from past abuse. Falling in love with Jade gives him hope for healing from the past traumas, and that is beautiful. I love the visual I get of both characters with the writing, and it is great to see the other family members again from Craving. I love the way Helen Hardt writes; it brings the picture to my mind, and I get lost in the book, and they become my book friends. And of course the sex is amazing and well written. The cliffhanger at the end of Obsession is diabolical Miss Helen, however it surely makes me want to read Possession! A fantastic read for me! I tried to read it slowly and savor the story, however once I started, I could not stop. I Love Love Love this series!!!

Wow, this book (2/3) is so well written. It brings the characters to life and keeps you guessing. I have my suspicions of who these 3 men are, 2 of them are definite. I honestly would've never thought who the second guy was. Seriously, you need to read these books!!

As with 'Craving', I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next book in the series. The only thing I did not like about this book were the grammatical errors, misspelled words, and incomplete sentences...which is why I only gave this book 4 stars. This author needs to hire a proofreader if she aspires to be a professional writer. There were way too many errors for this book to be considered a professionally written novel.

Great, but understand the scope before ordering

Apparently I'm the only guy writing a review on this page that doesn't personally know the Author, I wish I did! He is a person with an impressive resume in tactical shooting. This is a great book but you need to understand the scope before you order it. This is not a "how to shoot" book. There are a couple of decent tidbits in here about how to shoot but, this book assumes that you already understand the fundamentals of not only basic shooting, but of practical shooting. For example, there are no pictures or description of all the shooting positions. This is a "how to teach other people to shoot" book. In that respect it is a great resource. The book is basically in two parts. First there are a lot of great insights on training people to shoot. I love the author's style of commentary and how it is arranged as "tidbits" of knowledge instead of being forced into a traditional format. I found myself pleasantly surprised that I had come to some of the same conclusions as the author. It made me feel vindicated, and where I didn't It gave me reason to rethink some of my own views on practical shooting. After this there is a collection of "courses of fire" that will aid in running a competition or a training program. If you need a book on the basics of shooting, I would recommend Kyle Lamb's "Green Eyes Black Rifles." But, if you run a training program, shooting competition, or have hit a wall in the development of your own skills, you should have this book.

Better than ok but not stellar.

Firstly, very small and thin book. Not a tome of shooting. Is it worth the price? Eeeemmm....not sure. If you have many other resources in your library like say Magpul Dynamics (Carbine + Handgun) Videos, or Heily Strategic (Carbine + Handgun) or Vikings Tactical books or vids, then this is not so much a technical reference. HOWEVER, the author is very clear -and I tend to agree- that fundamentals and repeatable execution is the most important aspect of shooting. Overall, very good first half (mindset and conceptual framework for training), second half is mostly diagrams and instructions for running the range or organizing scored events (useful if your into that). Just a little steep on the price point.

What took me so long. This has been on my wish list for years but it was not a priority because the cover led me to believe it was competition-oriented. ...or "orientated" as we say in upstate NY.
I was wronger than hockey cleats.

Should've known- if it's Mac, it's chock full of gassed up deathstick ballistic Functionality, Practicality and Fundamental awesomeness.

He goes over mindset throughout, technical aspects of Basic Marksmanship and tons of information to make us better gunslingers in an HSM (Holy **** Moment).
The last half is full of drills and range set-ups for courses of fire which will lead you to get your hits and increase your skill in threat-neutralization ...while always keeping the thinker turned on.
Get you some. Oh yeaaahhhhh.
